My review
This story is picture perfect and something straight off the Christmas movie channels. I was enchanted by the little town of Hollydell and loved the magical atmosphere that seemed to bewitch the air. The writing was warm and friendly, inviting you in like an old friend and I felt like part of the family by the concluding pages. The lashings of luxurious hot chocolates, marshmallow-making classes and Christmas pudding unveiling ceremonies had my taste buds salivating. I swear I could even smell the delicious treats being described before my eyes.
Magic is in the air in Hollydell and Maggie's story certainly falls under the town's spell. Her character is undeniably endearing and her journey is both emotional and heartwarming, I found myself cheering her on from the sidelines from the first page. The chemistry between Maggie and the perfect human, also known as Henry, was exciting and engaging and I couldn't wait to see if a happy ever after was on the cards for the happy pair.
If you love everything to do with the festive time of the year the I'm Glad I Found You This Christmas has to make it onto your TBR pile without a doubt. It's a warm and cozy read that will leave you smiling, what more could you possibly want from a book?
