My Husband’s Wives by Faith Hogan
About the book
Is it better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved?
Paul Starr, Ireland's leading cardiologist, has died in a car crash with a pregnant young woman by his side. A woman who is not his wife.
Evie, Grace and Annalise never thought they'd meet, but now they have to uncover the truth of their pasts. And suddenly they find themselves united by a man they never really knew at all.
As these women begin to form unlikely friendships they discover that Paul's death could prove to be the catalyst they needed to become the people they always wanted to be...
A heart-warming story of love, loss, family and friendship. A compelling debut for fans of Sheila O'Flannigan, Veronica Henry and Jane Fallon.

My thoughts...
To say that this book was not at all what I was expecting is an understatement. It's an all encompassing roller coaster of a ride that has left me reeling and I know it will stay with me for many years to come.
The story line was captivating and unfurled in a deliciously slow manner, drip feeding vital information along the way and ensuring that the reader remained glued to the narrative. I was hooked from the opening paragraph and found that I couldn't put the book down.
The story is a celebration of women, granted they were connected together by one man. But it was in the aftermath of Paul Starr that these women blossomed and came alive to life and the endless possibilities this can bring.
Faith Hogan's character creations are a thing of wonder and this book does not disappoint. Each character was fully rounded and completely compelling and together they spun an enthralling story.
My Husband's Wives is a deeply emotional book that swept me up and carried me away in its sea of hopeful possibilities. It's a gripping read that will leave you second guessing until the end and I couldn't recommend it enough. I'm a huge fan of Faith Hogan's work and this has to be my favourite so far.
