You simply can't beat a spirited heroine set amidst the backdrop of a period drama. I fell head over heels in love with this book.....the attention to detail that Nicola Pryce created on the page was superb allowing me to feel as though I had a front row seat to watch the drama play out, and what dramatics there was to behold, I loved every single moment of this book in all its captivating glory.
Angelica is a spirited character that would sit comfortably in an Austen novel. She stole the heart of the book and kept my attention glued to the pages. I was entranced by her charm and thoroughly enjoyed her exploits and endeavours as the story unfurled. The setting was picture perfect and came alive on the pages thanks to the author's beautiful writing style to create the ideal platform to sit the narrative upon.
The Cornish Lady is a vibrant and exciting creation that captures the essence of time past.....it truly is a work of art. If you're like me and love the works of Austen and Graham's Poldark then feast your eyes upon this treasure trove of a read - you won't be disappointed.
