My review
Sometimes you don't know what you have until it is gone. A situation Kevin is only too familiar with. Spoilt and used to getting his own way he thinks he's destined for greatness, especially with the incredibly beautiful Valentina on his arm. I mean he was always going to do better than Carrie as she just wasn't up to par.
What Happened to Us is written with style and flair and I was pulled into the storyline from the beginning and didn't resurface for air until the concluding pages. I don't think I've ever loved and hated characters as much as I did with this book which is a testament to the excellent writing skills of Faith Hogan. I think I even screamed in frustration at the pages a fair few times at Kevin's sheer gall, he certainly is a piece of work. Then on the flip side, there's Carrie, the easiest to love character you could ever hope to meet, who grabs your support from page one and doesn't let go. Her story is of pure resilience and bravery and what a character, I was rooting for her every step of the way. My favourite connection in the book came in the form of Jane and Luke's relationship, two lost souls finding each other at exactly the right moment touched my heart and added additional sentiment and love to the story.
What happened to us is full to the brim of delicious storytelling and style, I loved every minute of it. I couldn't recommend this book highly enough and it's a testament to that age-old statement that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

About the author
Faith was born in Ireland and currently lives there with her husband, four children and two fussy cats. She gained an Honors Degree in English Literature and Psychology from Dublin City University and a Postgraduate from University College, Galway. She was a winner in the 2014 Irish Writers Centre Novel Fair- an international competition for emerging writers. When she’s not writing, she’s an enthusiastic dog walker and reluctant jogger.
