My review...
I've just resurfaced from diving into this gorgeous book and couldn't wait to pick up my pen to write down my thoughts. A story filled with testing times, challenging emotions and hope....I absolutely loved it.
Maggie is the heart and soul of this narrative and what a character. Her life has been filled with many hardships and tragic moments but her strength and determination cry out with such fervour and ferocity. Her relationship with her father, Sully, is a standout moment in the book and is the pull that steers her back home to Sullivan's Crossing in times of need. This haven of wilderness is the perfect backdrop for Maggie to hideaway and recuperate after a string of trying events.
But what good is a perfect backdrop without characters I ask you.....and boy does Robyn Carr know how to create compelling and dynamic personalities to bring the story to life. Cal is a multilayered man of mystery and I particularly enjoyed watching him slowly unravel as the story unfurled to find out what was at the heart of this gorgeous man that was thrown into the story to change Maggie's world.
What We Find has heart at it's centre and hope guiding the way and is a beautiful story to embrace. If you love romance to lift and inspire then this is the story for you.
